Ingredients
- 1 lb, ground sausage
- 2 tbsp, flour
- Milk of choice
- Garlic Powder
- Onion Powder
- Paprika
- Parsely
- Salt and Pepper (lots of pepper!)
Our Tips:
- Try adding a few dashes of sage or rosemary with your seasonings.
- Add in chopped jalapenos or onions when you cook your sausage.
- Add cheese at the end for a cheesey sausage gravy.
- Add jalapenos and cheese for a cheesy jalapeno sausage gravy.
- Again, great for a hangover.
Step by Step Instructions
Step 1
Cook ground sausage in a pan over medium heat.
Reserve about 2 tbsp of grease in your pan.
(Note: If you don’t have enough grease, add canola oil or even leftover bacon grease. Just as long as you have about 2 tbsp worth.)
Step 2
Sprinkle flour into pan and mix until it is well incorporated with your meat and grease.
Cook on low to medium heat for 5 to 10 minutes to cook off flour.
Step 3
Slowly pour in your milk while continuously mixing to make sure you don’t get any lumps.
Add as much milk until you reach your desired consistency. Cook on low until it begins bubble.
Step 4
Add in your seasoning and continue to cook for another 5 minutes.
Step 5
Serve over biscuits, toast or a even a breakfast skillet!
